Biography
Gotts Street Park is a British quartet of jazz and soul musicians and producers from Leeds and York. The band, comprising Josh Crocker (bass, production), Tom Henry (keyboards), Joe Harris (guitar) and Adam Nicolle (drums), was formed in 2015, and began by putting their skills to work for other artists such as Celeste, Mabel, Kali Uchis, Grentea Peng, Rejjie Snow, Kojaque and Yellow Days, before developing their atmospheric, laid-back style on their own albums. Turning to soul and attempting to recreate the organic sounds of the great Stax, Fame or Muscle Shoals studios, Gotts Street Park surrounds himself with sensual voices such as Pip Millett, Rosie Lowe, Flikka, Grand Pax or DiElle on his albums Volume One (2017), Volume Two (2020) and the EP Diego (2021). The third volume, On the Inside, released in 2023 after the Tell Me Why EP, enters the US Billboard jazz charts at number 21 in early 2025.
