Gloria Christian, born Gloria Prestieri on June 24, 1934, in Bologna, Italy, was an Italian singer known for her contributions to Neapolitan song. She moved to Naples at a young age and began her musical journey as part of a jazz group led by Renato Marini. Her breakthrough came in 1956 when she participated in the radio contest La bacchetta d'oro, securing a contract with Vis Records. In 1957, she released her first hit, a cover of "Que Sera, Sera," which reached number 3 on the Italian charts. Between 1957 and 1962, Christian participated in the Festival della Canzone Italiana di Sanremo four times, achieving notable success with "Casetta in Canadà " (1957) and "Timida serenata" (1958). She also competed ten times at the Festival di Napoli, winning in 1962 with "Marechiaro Marechiaro." Her last notable appearance was presenting the final edition of the Sanremo Festival in 1970.
