Glenn Barber, born Martin Glenn Baker on February 2, 1935, in Hollis, Oklahoma, was an American country and rockabilly musician. He began playing guitar at age six and later learned other instruments. After moving to Pasadena, Texas, he formed his first band during high school. Barber made his debut in 1954 with the single "Styles And Ways Of The World / Stolen Dreams" on Hallmark Records. In 1963, he achieved his first chart success with "How Can I Forget You", reaching number 50 of the Billboard Country Charts. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, Barber had several hits including "Kissed by the Rain, Warmerd by the Sun" (1969). His song "She Cheats in Me" was later covered by Roy Orbison. Glenn Barber passed away on March 28, 2008, and was posthumously inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.
