Biography
Githead is a post-punk and experimental rock band. The group consists of Colin Newman from Wire, electronic musician Robin Rimbaud (Scanner), and members of Minimal Compact, Malka Spigel and Max Franken. Their debut EP Headgit was released in 2004, marking their entry into the music scene. The band performed their first three live shows without a drummer before Max Franken joined as their permanent drummer. Githead's debut album Profile followed in 2005, and they embarked on extensive tours across Europe, including notable venues like Queen Elizabeth Hall in London and Cité de la Musique in Paris. Their second album, Art Pop, was released in 2007 to positive reviews. Subsequent albums included Landing (2009) and Waiting For A Sign (2014).
