Biography

Ghalia Vauthier, also known as Ghalia Volt, born in Brussels, Belgium, is a blues rock singer, guitarist, drummer, and songwriter. She began her musical journey busking on the streets of Brussels before forming her first band, Ghalia & The Naphtalines. In 2016, she released her debut album with Voodoo Casino. Her desire to explore the roots of blues music led her to the United States, where she performed at various locations, including Chicago and Memphis. She collaborated with Johnny Mastro & Mama's Boys on Let the Demons Out (2017), which peaked at number 29 on the Billboard Top Blues Albums Chart. Her subsequent album, Mississippi Blend (2019), reached number three on the same chart. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, she adopted a one-woman band approach and released her third solo album, One Woman Band, in 2021.
