French Affair, a Franco-German dance-pop project, was formed in 1999 and consists of French singer Barbara Alcindor and German producers Torsten Dreyer and Karsten Dreyer. The group's breakthrough came with the release of their debut single "My Heart Goes Boom (La Di Da Da)" in 2000, which reached number 5 in multiple European countries. This success was followed by their debut album Desire, released in 2001, and subsequent hits such as "Do What You Like" and "Sexy". The group continued to release popular singles including "I Want Your Love", "Poison", and "Comme Ci Comme Ãa", which solidified their status in the European dance music scene. In 2006, French Affair released their second album Rendezvous, featuring the single "Symphonie D'Amour". Their final album, Belle Epoque, was released in 2008 under Score Music and Universal Music GmbH, marking a significant shift with new vocalists and remixes. The project disbanded in 2010 after releasing several notable singles including "Do What You Like - Reloaded" and "My Heart Goes Boom (The US Remixes)". French Affair's music has been recognized for its impact on the dance-pop genre, achieving significant chart success across Europe and selling over 2.5 million copies worldwide.
