Biography

Ezekiel Jiles, known professionally as Freekey Zekey, was born on October 13, 1975, in Harlem, New York. He began his music career as a founding member of the hip-hop group The Diplomats, formed in 1997 alongside Jim Jones and Cam'ron. Initially serving as a hype man, Freekey Zekey contributed to writing and performing skits on Diplomat mixtapes and Cam'ron's albums until his imprisonment in February 2004. Following his release in November 2006, he signed with Asylum Records and released his debut album Book of Ezekiel on July 24, 2007, which featured guest appearances from The Diplomats members and peaked at number 23 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart. After The Diplomats disbanded in 2007, Freekey Zekey formed his own label/group, 730 Dips, and joined Jim Jones' ByrdGang.
