An alternative rock singer and guitarist, Fred Alpi is a cross between Jacques Dutronc and Bérurier Noir. A successful debut album in 2000, Ici et Maintenant, was followed by Les Chiens Mangent Les Chiens in 2003 and Se Reposer ou Ãtre Libre in 2007. A kung fu teacher, rock'n'roll fan and translator, the polyglot singer returns in 2011 with a rootsy album, J'y Croyais Pas.
