Biography
Force of Nature are a Japanese DJ and production duo from Tokyo that formed in 2000. The ensemble consists of the musicians Ikuzumi Kitazawa, known professionally as KZA, and Kento Sasaki, known professionally as DJ Kent, and are famous for scoring the anime series Samurai Champloo (2004) and for their eclectic blend of hip hop, house, and techno. The members were previously part of the hip-hop ensemble Yotsukaido Nature before focusing on instrumental production. They achieved early professional recognition in 2002 with the release of their debut studio recording The Forces of Nature. Their discography includes the studio recordings Force of Nature II (2004) and III (2006), as well as the compilation recording Expansions (2013). In 2009, they released the collaborative recording C.O.M.B.i. - Chill On My Buttas! with the producer Eric Duncan. The duo has also contributed tracks to numerous soundtracks, including the recording âHiji Zuru STYLEâ featuring Suiken and S-Word.
