For The Imperium, a Finnish experimental metal band from Helsinki, was formed in 2008. Their early releases included two self-financed EPs, In/Die (2009) and This is Chaos, Baby! (2010). In 2011, For The Imperium signed with Warner Music Finland and released their debut full-length album, For The Imperium, produced by Kari Huikuri at Scandal Studios. The album received positive reviews and featured notable singles such as "Pike River" and "Creator". Following the success of their first album, they played at major festivals like the Tuska Open Air Metal Festival 2012. Their second album, Hail the Monsters, was released in 2013 and included the single "Sudden Death", which gained attention when its music video was censored in the UK.
