Fondo Flamenco, a Spanish group from Seville, was formed in 2006 by Alejandro Astola Soto, Antonio Manuel RÃos Sánchez, and Rafael Ruda Santiago. The trio initially gained traction with their self-produced demo tape, which led to the release of their debut album Contracorriente in October 2007 under a record label. Their second album, Las Cartas Sobre la Mesa, released in December 2008, propelled them to significant success, earning them a large following and over 100 concerts, including sold-out shows in Madrid and Barcelona. In March 2010, they released their third album, Paren el Mundo, Que Me Bajo, marking a stylistic shift that resulted in both the loss of some fans and critical backlash. Their final album, Surologia, was published in October 2012, continuing this new direction before the group announced their separation. The band's last single, "Vete", released in 2013, marked their official farewell to their fans after a series of concerts concluding with a final show at the Sala Antique in Seville. Following Fondo Flamencoâs disbandment, each member pursued solo projects, including Alejandro Astola Soto's album Rockallano y Canciones Perdidas in 2015, which featured collaborations with artists like Juanito Makandé and Daniel Abad.
