F.O. Machete, formerly Fuck-Off Machete, formed in Glasgow in 2003. The alternative rock outfit brought together activist Natasha Noramly (vocals, bass), whose background in the indie scene includes the bands Fukuyama and Ganger, and Paul George Mellon (guitar, vocals). Under their original name, the duo produced the studio albums My First Machete for Lost Dog Recordings (2004) and Blaze of Flashes for the Shock label (2006), as well as the live recording My Last Machete, released in 2011 on the Threads of Sound label. Long mothballed, the band was reborn as F.O. Machete in 2024, and signed with local label Last Night of Glasgow to release several singles leading to the album Mother of Thousand (2025), ranked 52nd in the UK physical sales chart.
