Fish Go Deep, an Irish electronic music production duo from Cork city, consists of Greg Dowling and Shane Johnson, both born in 1997. They entered the house scene in the late 1990s, running the âSweatâ night at Sir Henrys and hosting international DJs such as Kerri Chandler and Laurent Garnier, which established their reputation in Corkâs emerging club culture. Their first commercial release was the "In Motion" single in 1994, followed by "Silver" in 1995. In 2005, they broke through with "The Cure & The Cause", a track that reached number one on both the UK dance chart and the indie chart and peaked at number 23 in the UK singles chart, featuring singer and coâsongwriter Tracey K. In 2009 they released "No Applause" and in 2010 the Indian Summer EP and "A Dream", expanding their catalogue. Their debut album Draw The Line was issued on 29 June 2012, consolidating their presence on the international electronic scene. Fish Go Deep continued to produce music and perform across Europe, maintaining a consistent output of singles and EPs, and their early successes remain cited as milestones in the development of Irish house music.
