Fady Maalouf, born on April 20, 1979 in Zahlé, Lebanon, is a German-Lebanese pop and crossover opera singer. He achieved fame as the runner-up in the fifth season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar in 2008. His debut album Blessed was released on July 25, 2008 and reached number 2 in the German album charts. The single of the same name, "Blessed", is also successful in the charts. Further albums such as Into the Light (2010) and City of Gold (2012) followed, with the latter reaching number 10 in the German charts. His current releases include the singles "Velvet Lover" and "INSTALOVE (Electro Pop Era)", both released in 2024. Fady Maalouf is known for his versatile voice and his fusion of pop with classical elements. In 2009, he was nominated for the VIVA COMET in the categories "Breakthrough Artist of the Year" and "Online Star".
