Témpano, a Venezuelan progressive rock group formed in Caracas in 1977, initially featured Gerardo Ubieda on drums, Pedro Castillo Díaz on guitar and vocals, Miguel Ángel Echevarreneta on guitar, and Leonardo Arias on bass. Their debut album Åtabal-Yémal was released in 1980 and is considered one of the most important progressive rock records in Venezuela.
