Anton Eshon Hairston, known professionally as Eshon Burgundy (born Aprilâ¯21,â¯1980, in Abington, Pennsylvania), was raised by his mother Rochelle in Philadelphia, moving frequently due to her abusive relationship. His professional music career began in 2007, when he was featured along with poet Black Ice on DJ Jazzy Jeffâs album Return of the Magnificent with the song âRun That Back.â He released his debut album, Blood Rushing to My Head, through Salvation Armie Music Group on Julyâ¯24,â¯2012. His second album, The Fear of God, was released by Humble Beast Records on Marchâ¯3,â¯2015, and marked his Billboard chart breakthrough, peaking at number 15 on the Christian Albums chart, number 20 on Rap Albums, number â¯25 on Independent Albums, and number â¯4 on Heatseekers Albums.
