Escort, an American nu-disco band from Brooklyn, New York, became active in 2006. It was formed by Dan Balis and Eugene Cho, who began creating house singles in the early 2000s when they met at Vassar College. Their first single, "Starlight" (2006), received critical acclaim and led to their live debut at the P.S.1 Warm Up series. Escort released their self-titled debut album on November 14, 2011, which was listed at number 40 on Rolling Stone's list of the top 50 albums of 2012. The band's subsequent releases include the EP Barbarians (2013) and the album City Life (2019). Escort's video for "All Through the Night" was named one of the top 50 videos of the 2000s by Pitchfork.
