Transgender DJ and producer Eris Drew was born in Perth, Australia, and grew up in Chicago. She learned to play the synthesizer and became a regular at raves in her teens in the 1990s. Involved with Smartbar, she created the Hugo Ball parties, then the Daphne festival, establishing herself as an activist in the underground techno/house scene. In 2017, Eris Drew made the acquaintance of DJ Maya Bouldry-Morrison aka Octo Octa, who became her companion and regular collaborator, within the Alchemical Sisters and then during her solo career, notably for the Devotion EP (2018). They found their own label T4T LUV NRG, under which the Raving Disco Breaks mixtapes were released. After the 2020 release of her first solo EP Fluids of Emotion, Eris Drew records the album Quivering in Time, released the following year. With numerous mixtapes to her credit, the DJ who founded the Fabric Presents label offers her own selection for !K7 Records' celebrated DJ-Kicks series, released in November 2025.
