Biography

Envidia Kotxina, a punk style band from Madrid, Spain, formed in 1994. The group's initial lineup solidified after meeting Emilio Jintxo at the Vallekas Rock festival in 1995. Their debut release, Kuerpos sanos, mentes enfermas (maketa), was recorded and mixed in three nights with a low budget. This album gained significant local traction, leading to their first performances outside Madrid. The band's second album, Kampos de Exterminio, released in 1998, further solidified their sound. In 2003, they released Asi en la Tierran como en el Zielo, produced by Kosta of Boikot, which featured more refined compositions and a polished sound. The band's album, Kontratiempos, was released in 2014. Envidia Kotxina announced an indefinite hiatus in 2016 with a farewell tour, but returned to the stage for a performance at the Pintorrock festival in October 2022.
