Eduardo Falú, born on July 7, 1923, in El Galpón, Argentina, was a guitarist and composer. He began playing guitar at age 11 and later studied harmony and composition. Falú's public debut came in 1940 as part of the ensemble Los Troperos on Radio LV9 in Salta. In 1951, he released his first LP and began touring internationally. Notable collaborations include performances with Mercedes Sosa and Los Fronterizos. Falú's final concert was in November 2007 at the Teatro Municipal de Salta for the documentary Eduardo Falú, Canto al paisaje soñado. He passed away on August 9, 2013, in Buenos Aires. His works became part of the repertoire of many international classical guitarists and he received numerous awards including the Gran Premio de SADAIC in 1985 and Premio Konex de platino.
