Biography

Manuel Carrasco Tubío, known as Manolo Carrasco, and born on March 15, 1971, in Cádiz, Spain, is a pianist and composer from a musical family. Carrasco began his studies at the Conservatorio Manuel de Falla under Rafael Prieto. Notable albums include Arena y mar (Flamenco piano) (1987), Sueños de juventud (1991), Al-Andalus (1997), and Debut! (2001). Carrasco's career was recognized with notable awards, including the Zipa de Oro in 1987, the Premio Carmen Ibáñez at the XIV Concurso Nacional de Jóvenes Pianistas in 1994, and the first prize at the Concurso Internacional de Piano en Lyon in 1995. In 2014, his work Sinfonía Ecuestre, recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of London for the Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre, was released.
