Eddy Joniel is an Ecuadorian dancehall and urban artist from Esmeraldas who built his career in the early 2020s as part of the Yerbalife Maker Music camp, releasing a steady run of independent singles rooted in perreo, trap and Caribbean-inflected dancehall. He first appeared on digital platforms with tracks such as âRastamanâ in 2022, marking the start of his association with the Esmeraldas-based label and collective. Over 2023 he expanded his profile with solo singles like âLa Picuda,â âQleoâ and âAlista El HÃgado,â while simultaneously turning up as a guest on songs from the local urban scene, including âCuando Me Llamaâ and other collaborations that circulated on YouTube and streaming services. In 2024 he strengthened his presence through features on high-energy Ecuadorian club records such as âChocoplo (Remix),â âRadealosâ and âFlow Del HP,â and solo releases like âSin Llorar,â â444â and âLa Dea,â which positioned him firmly inside the emerging coastal dancehall and perreo wave. By 2025 Eddy Jonielâs catalog had grown into a dense string of singles and a three-track EP The World Is Mine, highlighted by cuts such as âJabón Azulâ with Jossimar and CG Monarco, âChupetia,â âGalope,â âLa Pintaâ with Flow Manigga and the club-focused âApareo (Remix),â all released under the Yerbalife Maker Music imprint. His breakout moment arrived in November 2025 with âLa Monja,â a single co-credited with New Jerson and produced by Yerbalife Maker Music, which quickly became one of his best-known tracks.
