Kristian Rangel Betancurâknown professionally as Krisâ¯R.âis an American-Colombian rapper, singer, and composer born in New York City on February 12, 2001, and raised in MedellÃn, where he began his urban music journey at age 15 with his debut single "El Rey de los Cielos" in 2016. Early on, he earned attention through critical collaborations with artists such as Jonâ¯Z, Ãengoâ¯Flow, Jowell & Randy, Rauwâ¯Alejandro (notably on "Desnuda" in 2019), Jambyâ¯Elâ¯Favo, Anonimus, and Neoâ¯Pistea. Krisâ¯R. rose as a central figure in Trap de Medallo, breaking through with electrifying tracks like "Sople," "Las Piponas," "TRAPPHONE," "EL EXORCISTA," and "POLOS OPUESTOS," the latter earning RIAA certification. In 2024, he joined forces with Jâ¯Balvin on "Sornero," a visual tribute to MedellÃnâs neighborhoods and tram line, further heightening his profile. That same year, he toured the United States alongside Ryanâ¯Castro and Blessd, followed by a headlining 25-date Colombian tour in 2025.
