Biography
Bethel Music is an American Christian music collective founded in 2009 in Redding, California, originating from the worship ministry of Bethel Church. The group was formed by worship leaders Brian Johnson and Jenn Johnson, who first gained attention through local church services and a series of live recordings that showcased their collaborative songwriting. In 2011 the collective released Here Is Love, followed by Be Lifted High in 2012, establishing their presence in the contemporary worship scene. Their breakthrough came with the 2015 album We Will Not Be Shaken, which featured eleven original tracks and introduced new artists such as Kalley Heiligenthal and Hannah McClure, and was later praised by CCM Magazine for its cohesive worship experience. Subsequent releases-Have It All (2016), Starlight (2017), Moments: Mighty Sound (2018), and Victory (2019)-expanded the collectiveâs discography, each album incorporating live recordings and spontaneous worship moments. The 2021 live album Homecoming and its Spanish edition, Homecoming (Español), reflected the groupâs international outreach, while the 2023 single Holy Forever demonstrated continued relevance. 2025 saw the release of the live album, We Must Respond, which featured the single, "Center."Bethel Musicâs catalog has entered the Billboard 200 multiple times, and several tracks have surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify and YouTube, marking the collective as a significant contributor to contemporary worship music.
