Dumpstaphunk, a funk and jam band from New Orleans, Louisiana, United States, was formed in 2003 by keyboardist Ivan Neville. The band began as a oneâoff gig at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, but quickly evolved into a permanent group. They released their first EP, Listen Hear, in 2007, followed by full-length albums including Everybody Want Sum (2010), Dirty Word (2013), and Where Do We Go from Here (2021). Dumpstaphunk has performed at major festivals like Bonnaroo, Voodoo Experience, and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. The band was voted âNew Orleansâ Best Funk Bandâ in 2014 by OffBeat Magazine and Gambit Weekly. Bassist Nick Daniels III passed away on April 26,â¯2024, from complications related to multiple myeloma.
