Biography

Düki is the stage name of rapper Mauro Ezequiel Lombardo Quiroga (June 24, 1996), who is one of the leading exponents of trap music in his native Argentina. Raised in the neighborhood of La Paternal, he started off as a freestyle rapper and first gained prominence as the winner of the rap tournament El Quinto Escalón in 2015, earning the chance to record in a professional studio. This resulted in his debut single “No Vendo Trap” (2016), whose accompanying video accumulated over 2 million views in just two weeks. Düki became a mainstay of El Quinto Escalón, participating in some of the most viewed battles in Spanish in the history of video-sharing sites, and successfully launched his career with the singles “She Don’t Give a FO” (2017) with Khea and “Hello Cotto” (2017), both produced by Omar Varela. In 2017, he also featured with Cazzu on Khea’s “Loca,” which reached Number 3 in Argentina. The following year, Düki issued two Top 10 singles, “Si Te Sentís Sola” and “Hijos de la Noche,” and performed his track “Rockstar” at the Gardel Awards. Preceded by the Top 10 entry “Goteo,” his studio debut Súper Sangre Joven saw the light in 2019 and featured guest spots by Khea, C. Tangana, Alemán, YSY A, Marcianos Crew, Eladio Carrión and Sfera Ebbasta. After featuring on Bad Bunny’s YHLQMDLG (2020), Düki returned to the scene a year later with Desde el Fin del Mundo (2021), a more streamlined effort that flirted with dance music, drill, and punk rock. “Malbec,” one of the singles from the album, went to Number 17 in Argentina and 29 in Spain, obtaining gold certification by PROMUSICAE. That year, he also issued the EP Temporada de Reggaeton, his first incursion into the Latin urban genre. Temporada de Reggaeton peaked at Number 20 on the Spanish charts and was followed in 2023 by the trap-laden Antes de Ameri, a star-studded effort with cameos by Quevedo, Salastkbron, Lucho SSJ, and reggaeton artist Jhayco, who featured on the track "RoCKSTAR 2.0." Ameri, his fourth full-length, was released in late October 2024 and featured the single "Barro," which contained a sample of Luis Alberto Spinetta's "Barro Tal Vez." Some of the guest appearances in the album included Myke Towers, Headie One, Judeline, Eladio Carrión, Wiz Khalifa, and Arcángel, among others.
