Down to the Bone, a British jazz band, was formed in late 1995 by Stuart Wade and Chris Morgans. The group's name is derived from a former London club called To The Bone, located in Holborn. Down to the Bone gained popularity in Britain with their unique blend of funk and jazz, often referred to as "British Jazz Groove." Their debut album, From Manhattan to Staten, was released in 1997. Subsequent albums include The Urban Grooves: Album II (1999), featuring keyboardist Reuben Wilson; Spread the Word: Album III (2000); and Crazy Vibes And Things (2003). The band has collaborated with notable artists such as Flora Purim, NâDambi, Jeremy Steig, Roy Ayers, Hil St. Soul, Imaani, and Katie Leone. Notable releases include "Timeless" (2004) and "Watch Me Fly" (2011). Their discography spans over a decade, with albums like Supercharged (2007), Future Boogie (2009), and Dig It (2014).
