Biography
Olatunji Oladotun Alade, known professionally as Dotman, was born in 1993, in Agosasa, Ipokia, Ogun State, Nigeria. He is a singer and the CEO of 808 Recordz. Inspired by artists like King Sunny Ade and Fela Kuti, Dotman's music career began when he won a rap competition at the University of Lagos, where he studied Physics Education. His early singles include "Yes Melo" (2015), "Akube" (2016) and "Afro Girl" (2017), which gained significant attention. In 2017, Dotman performed at Big Brother Naija's Live Eviction Show in South Africa. He was signed to Labo Entertainment in 2020 but returned to his role as a CEO with 808 Recordz in May 2021. Notable collaborations include "Escobar" (2017) featuring Davido and "Owo" (2018) featuring DJ Memphis. Dotman released his album Hakuna Matata in 2021.
