Dominic Alldis, born in 1962 in London, England, is a jazz pianist, orchestral conductor, and arranger. Raised by classical musicians, he studied various instruments and composition from an early age. Alldis began his career in Paris in 1982, studying jazz piano and teaching at the American School of Modern Music. In 1984, he became resident pianist at Pizza on the Park in London, playing with notable artists. He released his debut album Night Music in 1989 after studying at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. Alldis founded Canzona Music in 1996, releasing albums including If Love Were All â The Songs Of Noël Coward. He formed the Dominic Alldis Trio in 2009 and established the Canzona Chamber Orchestra in 2010, collaborating with various jazz musicians and classical quartets.
