Biography
DJ Velis' career has discreet origins. Born Mack-Versace Kabemba Lumwanga on September 22, 1992 in Kisangani, in the north-east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, this rapper and producer was quickly introduced to music. From 2007 onwards, his passion for music grew and, three years later, he began composing. He produces for a number of groups and, despite his youth, gains in technique. He launched his solo career under the name DJ Velis in 2018, with a first project, Zaïrois Attitude. Through tracks like "Fait Le" and "Rumba", Velis shows his palette, influenced as much by Afro-pop as by electronic sounds close to club music. DJ Velis later distinguished himself by pursuing tracks with his group 9.13, of which he has been a member since 2010, and in which he appeared on production for "Look ", released in 2020.
