Dixebra, a rock group from Avilés, Asturias, Spain, was formed in 1987 and included Xune Elipe as the lead vocalist. Their sound featured a mix of ska, punk, and folk asturiano influences. Dixebra's music was also characterized by its commitment to social issues and the use of the Asturian language. Their first significant step was recording a maqueta with the Asturian Nationalist Assembly (ENA) anthem for the 1987 elections. In 1990, Dixebra released their debut album Grie-ska under Fonoastur. The band's second album, Asturies o trabayes, was released in 1993 and featured notable tracks like "Asturalia" and "La tÃa Nemesia". In 1997, they performed at the Festival Intercéltico de Lorient and released Dieron en duru, which included the track "Nun llores", dedicated to the workers of Duro Felguera.
