Biography

Divine Fits was an American-Canadian indie rock band formed in late 2011. They consisted of Britt Daniel and Alex Fischel from Spoon, Dan Boeckner from Wolf Parade and Handsome Furs, and Sam Brown from New Bomb Turks. Their debut album A Thing Called Divine Fits was released on August 28, 2012, via Merge Records. The band made their television debut on Late Show with David Letterman in November 2012. In June 2013, they premiered two new songs, "Ain't That The Way" and "Chained to Love", on Conan. Their final show took place at The Parish in Austin, Texas on October 13, 2013. Following the disbandment, Daniel returned to Spoon, with Fischel joining as an official member for the album They Want My Soul.
