Disavowed, a Dutch death metal band from North Brabant, formed in 2000 from the remnants of Nocturnal Silence. The group rebranded to focus on brutal, structured death metal. Their debut release, Point Of Few, led to a contract with Unique Leader Records. In 2001, Disavowed released their first studio album, Perceptive Deception. The band toured extensively, including a five-week tour through the USA and Canada in 2002 and a four-week European tour in 2003. Drummer changes were frequent; Robbe Vrijenhoek left due to injury in 2005, followed by Dirk Janssen's departure later that year. Romain Goulon briefly took over before moving to Necrophagist in 2008. Disavowed released Stagnated Existence in 2007 and Revocation of the Fallen in 2020. They also collaborated with bands like Cannibal Corpse and Beneath the Massacre.
