Dilip Dholakia, born on October 15, 1921, in Junagadh, India, was an Indian music composer and singer. Introduced to music at a young age by his family, he began his career as a clerk and accountant before becoming a singer and later assisting leading music composers of Bollywood and Gujarati cinema in the 1960s and 1970s. Dholakia's breakthrough came when he sang three songs for the Hindi film Kismatwala (1944), including "Gori Chalo Na Sina Ubharke" and "Dekho Hamse Na Ankhe Ladaya Karo". He went on to compose music for Hindi films, including Bhaktamahima (1960) and Baghdad Ki Raaten (1962), as well as Gujarati films such as Satyawan Savitri (1963) and Divadandi (1950). Notable songs include "Milan Na Deepak Sahu Bujhai Gaya Chhe" from Snehbandhan, and "Eklaj Aavya Manva..." from Jalam Sang Jadeja. Dholakia passed away on January 2, 2011, in Mumbai.
