Biography
Richard John Rosmini was an American guitarist and photographer born on October 4, 1936, in New York City. He performed in clubs in Greenwich Village and worked as a sideman for Bob Gibson, Dave Van Ronk, and Ananda Shankar. During the 1960s, Rosmini served as the jewelry photographer for Tiffany & Co.. He released his debut studio album, Adventures for 12-String, 6-String and Banjo, in 1964. Rosmini contributed to the development of Tascam multitrack recorders and co-designed JBL studio monitors. In 1978, he authored the booklet TEAC Multitrack Primer. Rosmini taught recording at the University of Southern California for over a decade. His discography included the recordings A Genuine Rosmini (1969) and Sessions (1973). He died on September 9, 1995, in Los Angeles from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
