Biography

Dennis Michael Locorriere (June 13, 1949 – May 16, 2026) was an American singer, songwriter, guitarist and bassist born in Union City, New Jersey. As a founding member of Dr. Hook (also known as Dr. Hook  & the Medicine Show), he served as the group’s lead vocalist, helping the band earn more than 60 gold and platinum singles and reach Number 1 in over 40 countries. After the group’s peak, Dennis Locorriere released solo albums Out of the Dark (2000), One of the Lucky Ones (2005) and Post Cool (2010), and issued several live recordings. He wrote songs recorded by notable artists such as Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson and Jerry Lee Lewis, most famously "A Couple More Years". Dennis Locorriere died in West Sussex, England, at 76 from complications of kidney disease.
