Dennis Michael Locorriere (Juneâ¯13, 1949â¯ââ¯Mayâ¯16,â¯2026) was an American singer, songwriter, guitarist and bassist born in Unionâ¯City, Newâ¯Jersey. As a founding member of Dr.â¯Hook (also known as Dr. Hook â¯&â¯the Medicine Show), he served as the groupâs lead vocalist, helping the band earn more than 60 gold and platinum singles and reach Numberâ¯1 in over 40 countries. After the groupâs peak, Dennis Locorriere released solo albums Out of the Dark (2000), One of the Lucky Ones (2005) and Postâ¯Cool (2010), and issued several live recordings. He wrote songs recorded by notable artists such as Bobâ¯Dylan, Willieâ¯Nelson and Jerryâ¯Leeâ¯Lewis, most famously "Aâ¯Couple More Years". Dennis Locorriere died in Westâ¯Sussex, England, at 76 from complications of kidney disease.
