Biography

Deepfield, an American rock band from Charleston, South Carolina, was formed in 2005 by Baxter Teal III, Eric Bass, Russell Lee, and J. King. The group's name is derived from a Hubble telescope image of space taken in 1995. After releasing a three-song demo, Deepfield signed with In De Goot Recordings in 2006 following a showcase in New York. Their debut album, Archetypes and Repetition, was released on July 24, 2007, featuring the singles "Get It" and "Into the Flood". The band toured extensively from 2007 to 2009 with acts such as Shinedown and Puddle of Mudd. Their second album, Nothing Can Save Us Now, was released on December 6, 2011. Deepfield disbanded in 2011 but reunited in 2019, releasing the album The Acoustic Sessions that included the single "Halo". The band returned in 2025 with the album Postdiluvian.
