Biography

Dear and the Headlights was an American indie rock band from Phoenix, Arizona, formed in 2005. Before their debut album, they released two demos recorded by future bassist Chuckie Duff. Their debut album Small Steps, Heavy Hooves was released in 2007 via Equal Vision Records. The band gained traction through touring with major acts such as Jimmy Eat World and Paramore. In September 2009, bassist Chuckie Duff left the group to focus on graduate school and his studio. He was replaced by Patrick Taylor in January 2010. in July 2011, Dear and the Headlights announced their breakup, citing challenges with the music industry and a drift from their original musical goals.
