Biography

DD/MM/YYYY, an experimental rock band from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, was formed in 2003 by members Mike Claxton, Tomas Del Balso, Jordan Holmes, Matt King, and Moshe Rozenberg. The group gained attention for their abstract music, unconventional instruments, complex time signatures, and rotating member roles. Their debut album Blue Screen of Death was released in 2005, followed by Are They Masks? in 2007. DD/MM/YYYY's third and final album, Black Square, was released on March 17, 2009, and received significant national and international press, including a 4/5 star review from Canadian Dose Magazine. The band embarked on extensive tours supporting the album, performing with acts such as Crystal Castles and Portishead, as well at festivals like South by Southwest and ATP I'll Be Your Mirror. DD/MM/YYYY played their final show on November 11, 2011, at 918 Bathurst Centre in Toronto.
