Biography

David Koller (born on September  27, 1960, in Prague, Czech Republic) is a Czech rock singer and drummer who began his career in the early 1980s as the drummer for Jasná Páka and later performed with Žentour, Pusa and Blue Effect. His breakthrough came in 1985 when he founded the band Lucie, releasing the single “Dřív Smířlivá” the same year and later the albums Lucie (1990) and In the Sky (1991). He released solo albums David Koller (1993) and Nic není na stálo (2006). David Koller produced records for Miro Žbirka and Lucie Bílá, composed scores for the films Amerika (1994) and Poslední přesun (1995), and co‑opened the multicultural center MeetFactory in 2007. Over the following years, he continued his solo career through albums like Teď a tady (2010), ČeskosLOVEnsko (2015), and David Koller & Friends (2016).
