Darrell Evans, born Darrell Patton Evans on October 6, 1968, in San Francisco, California, is an American evangelical Christian musician and songwriter known for his contributions to contemporary Christian worship. Raised in a military family, Evans became a born-again Christian at age eleven and began leading worship services at fourteen. He studied at LIFE Bible College and Oral Roberts University. His breakthrough came with the release of "Trading My Sorrows" and other notable songs like "Let the River Flow", "Your Love Is Extravagant", and "Freedom". Evans's releases Nothing Less Than Everything (2008) and "Freedom" (2015) garnered Dove Award nominations. He has traveled extensively, combining music with worship, preaching, and prayer. In 2013, he signed an exclusive publishing administration deal with Watershed Music Group.
