Biography

Danny Felix, a Mexican-American singer, songwriter, and producer from Phoenix, Arizona, has been instrumental in shaping the corridos tumbados genre—a fusion of traditional Mexican corridos with trap and urban music influences. He gained prominence by producing Natanael Cano's breakthrough hits like "El Drip" and "Soy El Diablo," the latter of which featured a remix with Bad Bunny, propelling the genre into the mainstream. In 2021, Danny Felix launched his solo career with the album Vuelve, showcasing his versatility by blending regional Mexican sounds with elements of trap, pop, and acoustic rock. The album included notable tracks such as "Los Haters," "Inténtalo," and "Mala Decisiones" featuring Matt Hunter. Continuing his innovative approach, Danny Felix released Mariachi Tumbado, a collaboration with the esteemed Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán, further expanding the boundaries of regional Mexican music. His subsequent projects, including the live album Con La Cochi (En Vivo) in 2023, and singles like "Duele," "Soy Todo Tuyo," and "Vámonos, Vámonos," have solidified his reputation as a dynamic artist unafraid to experiment. In 2024 and early 2025, Felix continued to push creative boundaries with releases like "No Te Vayas" and "Las Locas" featuring Edgardo Nuñez, demonstrating his commitment to evolving the genre.
