Biography

At the dawn of the 1990s, the singer who had escaped from Taxi Girl tried to impose his uncompromising rock, but to no avail. It wasn't until 2004, with Crève Coeur, that he won unanimous acclaim. Back in the spotlight, and as if rehabilitated from his Nijinsky wanderings, Daniel Darc serves as a lyricist for others (Buzy, Thierry Amiel, Cali, Elisa Tovati, Marc Lavoine) and polishes his leather with the devout albums Amours Suprêmes (2008) and La Taille de Mon Âme (2011). On February 28, 2013, the singer was found lifeless in his home, the victim of an alcohol and drug overdose. He left behind a posthumous album completed by his guitarist and arranger Laurent Marimbert, Chapelle Sixteen, released in September 2013.
