Biography

Dan Siegel, born in Seattle, Washington, is an American pianist, composer, and record producer. Siegel began piano lessons at eight and performed in a band by 12, later studying in the Berklee College of Music and the University of Oregon. His first recording, Nite Ride, was released in 1980 on Inner City Records, followed by The Hot Shot, which entered the top 10 of the Billboard Jazz Chart. In 1986 he signed with Epic Records and released SHORT Stories. Subsequent releases include Insideout (2004) and Departure (2006). He composed the score for the film Reform School Girls and the television series Hard Copy.
