Biography
Dan Lissvik (born January 9, 1978) is a Swedish musician and visual artist who received an MFA from the Valand Academy. In 1998, he co-founded the instrumental band Alé in Malmö, which released an untitled live cassette before disbanding in 1999. After moving to Gothenburg, Lissvik formed the Balearic music project Studio and co-founded the record label Service in 2001. Studio debuted that year with the 7" single âThe End of Fameâ and later released the 12" single âNo Complyâ in 2006, followed by the critically successful album West Coast. Lissvik has produced or remixed work for international artists including Fever Ray, The Embassy, Taken by Trees, and Young Galaxy. In 2014, he launched the solo project Atelje, releasing the experimental album Meditation, followed by Midnight in 2016. He co-founded the group Under Allt in 2021, issuing the album Mellanrum that year and the follow-up 3 in 2023. In 2024, Lissvik released three digital singles under the Atelje moniker.
