Biography

Daddy DJ, a French electronic music duo consisting of David Le Roy and Jean-Christophe Belval, formed in 2000. The group's initial breakthrough came with their debut single "Daddy DJ", released under the pseudonym Daddy DJ on November 27, 2000. This track topped the charts in several European countries, including Belgium (Wallonia), Norway, and Sweden, and reached Number 1 in Denmark, Finland, and France. The success of "Daddy DJ" led to the release of their debut album Let Your Body Talk on April 2, 2001, which included additional singles such as "The Girl in Red" and "Over You". Following this initial success, Daddy DJ continued to produce remixes for various artists under pseudonyms like J&B and G-Box. In 2007, Charles Merkiled left the group. The duo returned with their second album Folder on December 10, 2012, featuring singles such as "Perfect Day" and "Crying". In 2015, they released a deluxe edition of Folder, which included bonus tracks and remixes. Daddy DJ announced their return in 2023 with the single "Issues", a collaboration with Lunis.
