DA VIKEN (âForeverâ in Breton) is a project launched by Christian Dargelos as a tribute to his former Marquis de Sade bandmate, Frank Darcel (1958â2024), and to the Rennes music scene of the late 1970s and early 1980s. The album, set for release on June 12, 2026, brings together figures from the rock scene of that era and representatives of the new generation of pop, rock, and alternative music, performing cult classics by Marquis de Sade, Ãtienne Daho, Octobre, Senso, and Republik. The artists involved in the project include former Marquis de Sade members Christian Dargelos and Ãric Morinière, the band Marquisâwhich carried on the legacyâand close associates such as Ãtienne Daho, Pascal Obispo, and photographer Richard Dumas; Mona Soyoc and Pierre Corneau of Kas Product alongside Xavier Geronimi and Ãric Morinière; Alan Stivell; Ãtienne Grandjean; Jérôme Soligny; Jeanne Bonjour; Tchewsky & Wood; Sweet Gum Tree; The Operator; and Dynamite Shakers.
