Biography

It took the insistence and support of his friends in Dionysos, whom he supported before releasing his first folk album, Un Morceau de Mon Avenir, in 2006, for this singer-songwriter from the Drôme region of France to reveal his world to us. Decidedly at home with his family, he entrusted Dionysos guitarist Michaël Ponton with the production of Mélancolie Frénétique, released in March 2009. Generous and luminous, this album proves that Cyrz's bittersweet poetry is well on the way to joining, and maturing at this speed, that of the illustrious elders who gave him his vocation, namely Dominique A, Bertrand Betsch and the Canadian Jérôme Minière.
