Biography

It was with the Texas in Paris project, in which he sings in English, that Baptiste "Walker" (for the Texan reference) Hamon, born in 1986, first came to prominence. Claiming the legacy of prestigious elders such as Townes Van Zandt or Leonard Cohen, he eventually decided to bring his American folk and country influences into the language of Molière and released no less than two EPs in 2014: Quitter l'Enfance to begin with, soon followed by Ballade d'Alan Seeger . These were very well received by critics, enabling him to follow up in 2015 with a new EP, entitled Nouvel Été. It served as a dress rehearsal before the recording of a debut opus, L'Insouciance, recorded in Nashville under the guidance of Mark Nevers, known for his work alongside Lambchop, Bonnie "Prince" Billy and Calexico, and released in 2016.
