Biography

French percussionist Cyril Atef is behind the groups Bumcello and Congopunq. He also accompanies a number of artists, including Alain Bashung, Matthieu Chedid, Julien Lourau and the Orchestre National de BarbÃ¨s. In 2012, he plunged into the furnace of Kinshasa for the supercharged soundtrack to the thriller Viva Riva! 2014 saw the release of Congopunq's second album, No Guns More Drums.
